Tahoe's doors and side panels are elegantly rendered: Convex and evenly sloping, they're pleasingly void of the crimping that ran the lower length of former models' sides. GM used stronger, higher quality steel to increase safety. Two-wheel drive Tahoes gain 200 pounds over the2006 models!! To keep the added weight from impeding fuel-efficiency gains, engineers focused on boosting aerodynamics wherever possible. As a result, the fuel door is now lipless, the antenna was shrunk and slung back, and gaps between exterior panels were tightened.
